The Arts and Science of Clinical Medicine teaches first year medical students at the University of Toronto basic clinical skills. I have no involvement in curricular planning / organization / assessment. I think the below readings would enhance one’s experience over the year and are my personal suggestions. They are not mandatory and are completely optional. I think having some minimal knowledge of possible of diseases will allow one to transforms one’s history from a rote exercise to something that is much more goal directed. Let me know if you agree with the below or if you have better ideas of readings.
